King size Suite - Your own private suite of rooms, in which to relax throughout your stay with us, comprises of a private lounge, bedroom with en-suite shower room, and a pantry. The bedroom is furnished with a king size bed and ample storage facilities. The lounge enjoys countryside views towards the town of Castle Douglas and is furnished with seating for four and digital freeview colour television. The pantry is equipped with a microwave, electric kettle, refrigerator, crockery, cutlery & glassware.

Luxury twin en-suite bedroom - The bedroom, with views overlooking the garden, is furnished with twin beds and ample storage and digital freeview colour television. The luxurious bathroom is well equipped with a large spa bath, power shower, basin, toilet and bidet.

If you are staying for 3 or more nights and would prefer a different arrangement to that above, the king size suite can be arranged as a twin bed room and the luxury twin bedroom can be arranged as a king size.

Our bedrooms at Albion House have individually controlled gas central heating. Hospitality trays are provided in each room with a selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Hairdryers, radio clock alarms and a selection of complimentary toiletries are provided for your use. Guests are welcome to relax in the spacious lounge which retains many original Victorian features and has delightful views of the garden. A selection of books and magazines are provided for your enjoyment and free internet WI-FI access is available.


At Albion House we offer a superb breakfast selection, using the best of local Galloway produce and served at a time that suits you. Start your day with our Scottish Galloway cooked breakfast of scrambled or fried fresh farm eggs with grilled locally smoked bacon, sausage, tomato and mushroom, with breakfast haggis and black pudding for the hearty appetite. A lighter cooked option of grilled locally smoked bacon and mushrooms on hot buttered toast is also available if preferred. Or why not try our smoked haddock kedgeree with grilled tomatoes. A variety of cereals, juice and breakfast fruit are also provided.

To accompany your breakfast, we also offer tea or coffee and toast with delicious homemade preserves and marmalade.

A continental option is also available, comprising of a selection of cheese and cold ham with assorted special bread and rolls, and cheese.

Special diets can be catered for if arranged in advance.


We have garage facilities which can provide secure storage for bicycles and outdoor clothing and have ample off road parking for guests. We have drying facilities for walkers and cyclists.

Packed lunches can be arranged as an alternative to or in addition to breakfast. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement and will attract a small charge.
